Privacy at NicheTraveller (NicheTrips)

NicheTraveller delivers content-first travel inspiration and a planner experience. We built this policy to explain what data we collect, why we keep it, and how you can manage it. Questions? Email privacy@nichetraveller.app.

How we use it

We use the data to deliver a relevant itinerary experience, power analytics dashboards, respond to feedback, and secure the product. This includes aggregating trends, surfacing curated itineraries, and guiding ongoing product decisions while minimizing personally identifiable exposure.

Feedback and contact emails may also be used to follow up with you, only when you explicitly provide them.

When you are in the European Economic Area, we rely primarily on our legitimate interests in operating a travel experience and improving it. For marketing emails and similar optional communications, we rely on your explicit consent via opt-in controls.

International transfers

Our vendors maintain global infrastructure. When data moves across borders (e.g., between Europe and the United States), we rely on standard contractual clauses or similar safeguards.

Data retention

Session and analytics events are retained for 12–18 months (based on the metric) before being purged.
Feedback resides for 24 months unless you request deletion sooner.
Emails you voluntarily give us remain until you ask for removal.

Your rights

Access, correction, deletion, and portability are all supported—just email privacy@nichetraveller.app with your request. EU/EEA users may also withdraw consent at any time.

California residents can opt out of sale/sharing of their personal information by contacting us; we do not sell personal information, but we respect CCPA’s broader protections.

Nothing we store is sold to third parties. We only share data with the processors listed above to provide our service.

Security

Industry-standard encryption protects data in transit and at rest. We limit access to production databases and regularly review logs for suspicious activity.

Children’s privacy

NicheTraveller is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If you believe we hold data about someone under these ages, contact us to delete it.

Changes to this policy

When we update our policy, we will post the new version here and note the last revision date at the top of this page.
